IWD – Stefanie Fisher and Elyse Dwyer Interview

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Elyse Dwyer from e61 Institute sat down with some of our favourite female economists to learn about their experience as women in the field of economics.

Here she talks to Monash University Professor Stefanie Fischer about her career path and her favourite papers.

Stefanie also outlines some of her research which was recently featured in Freakonomics, about the health impacts of obstetric unit closures in the US.

We hope you enjoyed this year IWD special interview series!

Thank you to everyone who participated and a special thank you to our Pre-doctorate Economist, Elyse Dwyer, who did a fantastic job hosting our special guests.
