IWD – Pelin Akyol and Elyse Dwyer Interview

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Elyse Dwyer from e61 Institute sat down with some of our favourite female economists to learn about their experience as women in the field of economics.

Here she talks to Pelin Akyol, Associate Professor at Bilkent University about what attracted her to her specialty and her favourite papers.

Pelin also outlines some of her own research about the decision-making that young women and men partake in when choosing high school subjects and college majors and on the impact of cultural attitudes on female labour supply.
